Mark your calendars for Friends of Bayou Lafourche Weir Removal Boat Parade on Bayou Lafourche!
Paddle-powered boats: launch at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve at 2:00 pm
Motorized boats should be staged at Jean Lafitte no later than 2:00pm to follow paddle-powered boats. For those using the Leighton Boat Launch, additional parking will be available. 
The parade route is roughly 3 miles (turning around at Nicholls State University, and returning back to Jean Lafitte/Leighton Boat Launch), and paddlers/boaters will be treated to live music along the bayou-side at the following locations: - Jean Lafitte Board Walk
- Rotolo's Pizzeria Balcony
- Town Homes by Rienzi Plantation
- Thibodaux Pedestrian Bridge (behind Chamber of Commerce Office)
- New Nicholls State University Bayou-Side Park
